Risk Disclosure
Memecoins are among the riskiest things you can buy. Read this before you trade, launch or vote on upvoted. It is part of the Terms of Service. It does not list every risk.
1.You can lose everything
Memecoins have no intrinsic value, no cash flows, no issuer standing behind them and no protection of any kind. Most lose all or nearly all of their value, often within minutes or hours of launch. Only use money you can afford to lose entirely, and never borrowed money.
2.Memecoins are not stable
Prices can rise or fall by more than 90% in minutes, with no news and no reason. A coin that is "hot", "top" or heavily upvoted can collapse on the next trade. Past moves say nothing about future ones.
3.Bonding curves and liquidity
On pump.fun, prices are set by a bonding curve that moves with every trade; after graduation, by a pool that can be thin. Large trades move prices a lot. Selling can give back far less than you paid, and there may be no one to sell to at a price you expected.
4.Creators, insiders and bots
Anyone can create a coin, including people who intend to deceive. Creators and large holders can sell everything at any time ("rug pulls"). Coins can impersonate people, brands or other coins. Automated traders ("snipers", MEV bots) often buy in the first seconds and sell into later buyers. Some coins are launched purely to extract money from buyers.
upvoted does not vet, verify or endorse any coin. Names, images, descriptions and links come from creators and can be false.
5.Votes and rankings can be gamed
The arrows are anonymous opinions. Votes can be coordinated, bought or botted despite our limits. A high score, a place on the front page or a "hot" flair is not a signal of quality, safety or value.
6.Fee routing is not protection
Buybacks, burns and the floor reserve change where creator fees go. They do not stop a price from falling, and the price can trade far below the floor backing. The floor cannot be withdrawn or redeemed by anyone; "floor backing per token" is a ratio shown for information, not a price anyone will pay. The phase rule reacts to past trades and can be pushed by coordinated trading.
7.Everything is final
There is no demo mode: every transaction uses real SOL on Solana mainnet. Transactions are irreversible. Mistakes (wrong amount, wrong coin, a malicious transaction you signed) cannot be undone by anyone.
8.Software, network and wallet risk
The interface and the program may contain bugs; the program has not been audited. pump.fun can change or upgrade its programs. Solana can be congested or halt. RPC nodes, data feeds and gateways can fail or show stale or wrong data. Wallets can have bugs or be compromised. Any of these can cause failed, delayed or unintended transactions and losses.
9.The $DOOT coin
$DOOT is a memecoin like any other, with the same risks. It is not tied to upvoted, has no use on this website and gives no rights of any kind. The team holds some and may sell all of it at any time. It can go to zero.
10.Legal, regulatory and tax risk
Laws on crypto-assets change fast and differ by country. A coin, a trade or the use of this site may be restricted or taxed where you are, and access may be withdrawn at any time. You are responsible for your own compliance and tax reporting.
11.Scams around you
Scammers impersonate sites, teams and support staff. upvoted will never ask for your seed phrase or private key, never DM you first, and never ask you to send funds to "verify" or "unlock" anything.
